ABOUT
Amnesia is a skateboard company based in Sydney, Australia.
Amnesia’s goal is to promote Australian skateboarding by developing top quality products and by supporting local skateboarders. Plain and simple.
History:
Amnesia started back in 1992 in the form of a ‘zine dedicated to the skateboard scene in Newcastle, Australia. With sponsorship from the local arts council the black and white photocopied ‘zine was produced and distributed for free through the local skate shops. Not long after came the beginning of Amnesia Skateboards. With the help of Cary Pogson from Omni Boards, Amnesia was born. With abstract designs and some unique individuals on the team, Amnesia became an underground oddity with a loyal following. OG Newcastle skater Ben Cox started the ball rolling and with the help of Darren Kaehne, Shane Wallace and Peter Schiffmann, Amnesia put out it’s only video to date “Love’s Ugly Children”in 1996.
